Carpet Cleaning Hints:
Be sure you are using an extraction carpet-cleaning machine. If you need advice or a suggestion on purchasing a machine, we are here to answer any questions you may have.
There are many methods of carpet cleaning out there. We highly recommend the steam extraction cleaning method. We also recommend following these steps to get the most out of your equipment, solutions you are using, and the best results possible despite the conditions of the carpeting.
Check to see if your extraction machine has pre-spray capabilities. If so, you want to pre-spray the carpet with Royal Action Extraction solutions. If your machine has a pre-metered tip on the sprayer, you want to set it according to your water chemical dilution ratios. Spray your pre-spray solutions onto carpet throughout area to be cleaned. You want to achieve an even spray onto the carpeting. Your spray gun should be held about waist high while spraying (Do not over wet carpeting). If you do not have a pre-spray gun or a machine with pre-spray capabilities, you may use a trigger sprayer filled with diluted chemicals, or fill your solution tank with water and desired solution strength, and use your cleaning wand to pre-spray carpeting. Either way is good, but having a pre-spray gun saves time and effort. Your heavy dirty high- traffic areas, heavy soils, and all other troubled areas should be pre-sprayed with Royal Blue solutions before the extraction process. If you elect to skip a pre-spray cycle as recommended, you may simply fill your solution tank with Royal Action Extraction desired strength of cleaner. We recommend still pre-spraying the heavy stains with Royal Blue. Allow all pre-sprayed solutions to penetrate carpet fibers and work its magic while you prep your extractor for its use.
Your extraction steam cleaning should follow the pre-spray process, and /or the filling your extractor with Royal Action Extraction solution. Before starting your extraction machine, we recommend filling your waste tank with Royal De-Foamer to eliminate high suds/foam that generate in your waste tank. Although Royal Action Extraction is a low foaming formula, foam may build up depending on condition of carpet, chemical ratio sprayed, and high soap residue that may be residing in carpet before our initial cleaning. We also highly recommend mixing your Royal Rinse powder in a separate bucket and pouring into you solution tank. Only apply acidic Royal Rinse during this phase if you pre-sprayed the carpeting. If you elected to skip the pre-spraying process, we recommend you Royal Rinse the carpet after initial steam cleaning. This will require you to clean the carpet twice only if you elect to Royal Rinse the carpeting. You may now see the benefit of pre-spraying carpet before cleaning. The Royal Rinse is clearly what separates the professionals in the carpet cleaning industry. This eliminates wicking (stains that come back after cleaning) and soap residue (which attracts dirt and grim). Now you are ready to go to work on that carpet. Fully extract clean the carpet throughout.
